What is the difference between urgency and urge Incontinence?
What is our anatomy?
How does the bladder work? How do we know when we need to pee? Should I go pee just in case?
Risk Factors for developing urgency, i.e bladder irritants, stress, tight pelvic floor, toileting habits, c-
section scars.
Risk factors for developing urge incontinence, i.e childbirth, chronic constipation, weak pelvic floor.
What needs to be done to get a hold of the bladder? i.e bladder re-training, managing the urge
sensation, pelvic floor exercises, stress management, good sleep, diet, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
She will go over postural alignment to optimize pelvic floor contraction, breathing technique, pelvic floor relaxation, a de-constructed kegel to bring awareness to the pelvic floor.

My name is Madelaine Golec and I am passionate about educating, empowering and rehabilitating
clients so they can live the life they want, while not being held hostage by their bladders or bowels. I am
a pelvic floor physiotherapist that loves helping moms-to-be prepare for birth and beyond and helping
mothers of any age to re-connect with their pelvic floors to address incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse
or pelvic pain. I have been practicing physiotherapy since 2012 after graduating from McMcaster
University and have been treating pelvic health since 2014. I have a 4 year old daughter, 2 fur puppies
and in my spare time love to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and host my podcast Living A Better Life.
